BLAINE, Minn. (AP) - A Minnesota House staffer wants the seat vacated by Rep. Tim Sanders, who recently announced his retirement from the Legislature.

Nolan West said Friday he is seeking the Republican nomination for House District 37B. West says that as a lifelong Blaine resident, he cares deeply about the community.

West says his number one priority would be protecting the quality of our schools. He is currently a staffer for the majority caucus in the Minnesota House.
