SAINT PAUL - The Minnesota Golden Gophers showed off their offensive firepower, downing Robert Morris 7-3 in the NCAA Tournament opener on Saturday.

Minnesota controlled most of the tempo, outshooting Robert Morris 50-25 in the contest. Nate Condon led the Gophers with two goals.

Goalie Adam Wilcox made 22 saves for the win.

The Gophers will move on to take on the St. Cloud State Huskies on Sunday night at the X.
