PAYNESVILLE -- The search for a fugitive in Paynesville is over after the body of 28-year-old Ryan Clover was found in a vacant Paynesville home.

Paynesville Police Chief Paul Wegner says a property inspection representative was conducting a monthly check at the home Tuesday in the 400 block of West Mill Street when they noticed a dead body inside. Officers arrived to find the body in a stairway. Police secured the home and got a search warrant for the property.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner positively identified the body as Clover. He died of asphyxia due to hanging. The manner of death was ruled a suicide.

Clover had been on the run for more than a week. He was wanted on multiple felony warrants including terroristic threats, and for failing to register as a predatory offender.
