UNDATED - It's Memorial Day weekend! If you're still looking for something to do on this long holiday weekend, Jim Maurice and Abby Faulkner have come up with another list of "Five Cool Things" to do this weekend.

1). Attend a Memorial Service
There are a handful of events planned around the area on Sunday and also on Monday -- in St. Cloud, WaitePark, Sartell, and other communities.  Take the time to attend one of these services and honor the men and women for whom this day is dedicated.

2).  Visit a Minnesota State Park
Minnesota has 72 state parks and recreation areas.  They're visited by nearly 8.4 million people every year.  But only 30% of Minnesotans go to a state park each year.  Make this the year you and your family start taking advantage of these beautiful treasures.

3).  Awake the Lakes in Alexandria
The central Minnesota city has a whole lot going on every day through Monday.  Beer gardens, live music, and fireworks are just some of the activities.  Friday is Rib Fest day.  Saturday is Family Fun Day.  Sunday is Faith and Fitness Day.  And Monday is Memorial Day.

4).  Sartell's Apple Duathlon
This is the 29th year Sartell has hosted the duathlon.  The kids will be competing on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. at the Middle School.  And then the adults take the course on Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m.

5).  Friend's bar Memorial Weekend event
Their annual bash is on Sunday with live music outside, starting at 4:00 p.m.  There will also be a bbq and full bar under a tent.
