Fargo Man Charged with Murder, Still in Stearns Co. Jail [AUDIO]

FARGO - Forty-nine year old Henry Deniger of Fargo has been charged with murder.  Police say he admitted to officers he killed his 52-year-old wife Kathye.

An affidavit shows police discovered a knife in a sink at the couple's apartment with blood on it.  The documents also say when officers tracked down Deniger in St. Cloud on Wednesday, he admitted to killing his wife.

Cass County Attorney Birch Burdick says it gave them reason to believe he was full aware of what he was doing.

The next move for prosecutors is getting Deniger back to Fargo to face charges.  Jailers in St. Cloud say Deniger remains uncooperative and there's questions about whether he will fight extradition.  Prosecutors would have to request an order from Governor Dayton permitting Deniger's return.
