CLEARWATER -- Eurasian Watermilfoil has been found in another central Minnesota lake.

The DNR says the invasive species has been found in several locations on Rush Lake in Sherburne County.

Rush Lake is part of the Briggs Chain of Lakes near Clearwater.

Officials say the milfoil was found near the boat access and outlet structure on the south end of the lake. No milfoil has been found elsewhere along the chain of lakes.

Eurasian Watermilfoil can form dense mats of vegetation and crowd out native aquatic plants, clog boat propellers and make recreation difficult.

Boaters are urged to be extra thorough when inspecting and removing plants from boats, trailers, nets and anchors.
