Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids for Doreen Rose Cziok, age 80, of Sauk Rapids who died peacefully Tuesday at the St. Cloud Hospital with her children at her side. Rev. Paul Cloeter and Rev. Harvey Ehlers will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Friday at the church in Sauk Rapids. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home of Sauk Rapids.

Doreen was born September 5, 1934 in St. Cloud to John & Irene (Gottwalt) Pratt. She graduated from Sauk Rapids High School. She married Ervin Cziok on October 28, 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. Doreen lived in Sauk Rapids all her life. She was a homemaker and also worked as a floral arranger at Conroy Floral Shop for over 20 years, the Sauk Rapids American Legion and Vision Ease. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Sauk Rapids American Legion Post 254 Auxiliary. Doreen enjoyed puzzles, crafts, reading, baking Christmas cookies and fishing. Doreen also treasured the vacations at Lake Mille Lacs and family gatherings and boujas.

Survivors include her children, Cindy (Dick) Bradow of Park Rapids and Jeff (Kathy) Cziok of Sartell; grandchildren, Jon, Chris, Ali and Roz; great granddaughter, Gemma; and sister, Charlene Phillips of Waite Park. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin on August 5, 1979; infant son, Steven; brother, Jerry Pratt; and sister, Elaine Rudolph.

A special thank you to the physicians at St. Cloud Hospital, especially Dr. Nardi; the wonderful nurses and care providers on 4S & 5S, the staff and friends at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home Assisted Living Apartments, and her special friend and Stephen Minister, Sue Braegelman, who provided countless thoughts and prayers. Thank you to Pastors Harvey Ehlers and Paul Cloeter for many years of “home-bound” spiritual care.

Memorial are preferred to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home or Trinity Lutheran Church.
