I love finding things that are cute, quaint, and has that small town feel when travelling within our great state of Minnesota.

In recent years, there have been so many little craft breweries and wineries popping up all over in unexpected areas in Minnesta.  This time, we are headed to a small town North of Brainerd, Crosby.

This time it's a very cute and welcoming winery called Cana.

There are a few places where you can do a pour your own brew, beer, wine or in some cases mixed drinks.  You pay when you are ready to leave.  The system just keeps a running tally.  The same concept is true of this winery. You give them a card to keep on file at the beginning of your visit. In return, you get a little "wine card" that you scan on the section of the wine you would like.  The prices are clearly market.  You scan, select the wine and the size pour you would like, and voila, the wine goes into the glass at the optional level.  Perfect.

They have seating outdoors and a great area indoors as well.  Both are great areas, depending on the weather.

This is the outdoors area, with table top gas fire pits that you can use when it's a bit chilly.  Great atmosphere and ambiance.

This winery is located right near the Crosby Lofts.  So, if you do stay there, it's a must see stop.  They only opened this past December of 2023, and they have been having some great response and success. I spoke with the owners daughter, and she said that all of last winter, they had people enjoying the outdoors area.  Remember how mild it was?  That helped them tremendously to get their business off the ground.

So if you are ever in the Crosby area, and would like to try some of the wines they have, make sure to make a stop.  They also have some fun merchandise too.  There are also some non-alcoholic options if you are the one driving around.
