Dassel Man in Critical Condition After Falling From Railroad Bridge

WRIGHT COUNTY -  A Dassel man is in critical condition after he fell from a railroad bridge.

The incident happened at about 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The Wright County Sheriff's Office says they received a report of a trespasser on the railroad tracks near County Road 5 Southwest and 51st Street in Middleville Township.

A train crew told deputies that they saw a man walking east on the tracks as one of their trains went by.

The man was identified as 26-year-old Kyle McAllister of Dassel and was found near Oliver Avenue Southwest and County Road 4 where it appeared he fell from the railroad bridge.

McAllister was taken to North Memorial Hospital and is listed in critical condition. It hasn't been verified whether or not McAllister was hit by a train during the incident.
