St. Cloud -- The St. Cloud Antique Auto Club hosted their annual car show and swap meet today at the Benton County Fairgrounds.

The day's dreary weather did not stop car enthusiasts from coming out to check out the hundreds of classic cars from around the upper midwest.

Jamie Goldchild, from St. Michael, brought his 1975 Corvette which had been sitting in a garage for much of the past 14 years.

"This is the first year I've actually had a car I wanted to show," Goldchild says.

The show features various modern classics and antique collectibles but the stories behind these cars are what makes the show more interesting.

Mark Johnson, who came from Maplewood, brought his 1936 Oldsmobile which he still uses to drive around his grandchildren.

"It's a family truckster," says Johnson.

For ten years, Johnson has been attending the car show in St Cloud with two of his close friends, who have classic cars of their own.

His friend, Jerry, from White Bear Lake, brought his 1929 Ford Model A Pickup.

Jerry says he comes to the show because, "you see stuff that's rare that you don't see other places."
