Flooding.  That has been the main topic of conversation lately as Southern Minnesota has been dealing with an over abundance of rain.  I don't think I can remember a time when rides at Valleyfair have been closed due to flooding.  Mechanical issues sometimes, but not because of flooding.

Now, as we are finally hitting a drier stretch of weather, things are looking up for the amusement park.  Three of the rides that had been closed are now open, with the last one being Thunder Canyon, which ironically is a water ride.

The reopening of these rides comes just as we head into July with the "Christmas in July" discount.  You can get discounted tickets through the 11th of July, which is tomorrow, so you do need to act soon.  But it really might be worth it.  The discounted tickets are only $29.99.  That is really a great deal!

Soak City is something you might want to check out too since it's finally very warm, and humid.  Soak City water park seems like it would be a perfect day for the family to enjoy.

There are also some other discount deals you can get throughout the summer too.  There are group discounts and also a funday bundle that you can take advantage of as well.

If you missed out on Valleyscare, that will be back this year for Halloween too.  Details right here...back from the dead!
