Charles “Chuck” J. Johnson, Sartell, 69

April 30, 1945 - August 25, 2014

A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids for Charles “Chuck” J. Johnson, age 69, of Sartell, who passed away Monday at the St. Cloud Hospital. There will be a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday evening.

Chuck was born April 30, 1945 in Grafton, ND to Lionel & LaVerne (Larson) Johnson. He married Susan Hiltunen on March 6, 1978. Chuck was a mechanic for Tastos Amoco and Red’s Auto. He also worked in sales for the Kirby Co. After he retired, Chuck worked part time for AAA Courier Express. Chuck enjoyed camping, motorcycling, building and putzing in his garage, watching TV and action movies, and taking a good nap. He was a loving husband and dad who would do anything for his family. Chuck was strong willed and had a dry sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife, Sue of Sartell; sons, Phillip (Siri Becker) of St. Cloud and Dustin (Cassie) of Clear Lake; four sisters, four brothers, and six grandchildren. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
