DAY CAMPS

Let your inner Scientist shine! Your kids will discover science with fun experiments involving weather, plants, physics, and messy fun. Benton County 4-H Ambassadors will be offering four day camps around the county this summer. Day camps are one-day adventures for kids to learn and explore in a safe community setting.

WHO CAN ATTEND?

All youth in grades K - 5 are invited to attend. Each day camp offered this summer will focus on a different set of science experiments, crafts, games and snacks.

REGISTRATION

Registration fee is $8 per camper per day, with a maximum $16 per family, per camp.

DAY CAMP LOCATIONS

  • June 10th, Holdridge Park in Foley
  • June 24th, Lions Park, Foley
  • July 1st, Lions Park, Duelm
  • July 15th, Municipal Park, Sauk Rapids

CLOTHING CAMP

There will also be a clothing camp, which works with youth to improve their sewing skills by making shorts, a kitchen towel apron and a fleece kitty in a blanket at Clothing Camp on Tuesday, June 23rd, at the First Presbyterian Church in Foley.

All youth both 4-H and non 4H, grades 3 and up are invited to attend. Clothing Camp registration is limited to 15 participants

Registration for clothing camp is $15 and is on Tuesday, June 23rd.

RESIDENTIAL CAMP

This year's theme for Camp Benton is Ocean Adventure-An Under the Sea Experience. This is an overnight camp full of outdoor hands on activities. The cmap expedrience includes games, recreation, dancing, swminning, campfires, canoeing, uniuqe advertures, skits, workshops, singing and fun. Camp is open to anyone grades 3 through 9.  Camp1 for grades 3-5 will be held July 6-8th. Camp II is for grades 6-9 will be held July 8-10th. Both camps will be held at the Sand Dunes State Forest, Big Lake/Zimmerman.. Cost is $65 which includes meals, lodging, materials, t-shirt and bus transportation from Foley. Scholarships are available at the county office.
