The Minnesota Vikings are 2-5 on the season after beating the Packers in Green Bay on Sunday. The Vikings' schedule gets much easier moving forward, and the team actually has a path to the playoffs.

Twins center fielder Byron Buxton was overlooked for the American League gold glove award. Rookie Luis Robert from the Chicago White Sox edged out Buxton for the award. Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today. He says because of injuries and less games played Buxton did not win the award.

Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Kenta Maeda has been named one of three American League Cy Young Award finalists. The 2020 season was the righty's first with the Twins after a trade with the Dodgers.

The Vikings have a shortage of healthy cornerbacks heading into Sunday's game at Green Bay. Rookie Cameron Dantzler was placed on the Covid-19/reserve list, and both Mike Hughes and Holton Hill are battling injuries and may not play Sunday. Jim Souhan says starter Jeff Gladney may be the only healthy regular in the rotation.

The Minnesota Vikings' yard sale was on hold this past week, but Jay and Dave expect the product to start moving after this weekend's game against the Packers.
