The Gopher men's basketball team has won 3 straight games and 2 straight against ranked opponents after downing #17 Michigan State 81-56 Monday night. The St. Paul Saints have been announced as the new Triple-A Affiliate for the Minnesota Twins. Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today. He says Saints owner Mike Veeck has had stormy relationships with the Twins and media over the years in part due to promotional positions that the Saints took against the Twins.

He says bench players Jamal Mashburn Jr., Isaiah Ihnen, and Tre Williams were big contributors in the win.

The Twins have non-tendered both outfielder Eddie Rosario and relief pitcher Matt Wisler meaning both players have become free agents. He says the Twins say they could bring back Eddie Rosario but he thinks they are moving on and will likely give the full time left field job to prospect Alex Kirilloff.
