ST. CLOUD - There is a new book documenting the long history of the Munsinger Clemens Gardens in St. Cloud. The Munsinger Clemens Gardens: The Jewel of St. Cloud is written by Stephen Fuller. There will be an official book release held tomorrow (Saturday) in his honor at the Lake George Municipal Park from 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. The book includes multiple photos and history of the gardens.

Donna Gorrell is with the Munsinger Clemens Botanical Society, who are sponsoring the book release.

"It is in large part photographs of the gardens. The rest of the book is mainly history of the gardens: various points, the beginning of the gardens, the beginning of Munsinger and the beginning of Clemens Gardens. So it goes back quite some ways in the descriptions of the gardens, and their history," says Gorrell.

Gorrell says Fuller admired the gardens, and decided to write the book following his retirement.

"He spoke this so many times of how he admired the gardens," says Gorrell, "Suddenly decided in his retirement from the music department to write this book. I think it grew also from the photos, he had been taking photographs of the gardens for years, and I guess he finally decided to put them together with text."

Unfortunately Fuller died before he was able to see the book released. Gorrell says tomorrow's book release is in his honor.

"He was able to see the mock up of the book just maybe a week or two before he died. So at least he was able to see that and see how beautifully it worked out," says Gorrell.

The official release will again be from 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Lake George Municipal Park. Fuller's family will be there talking about the book.
