UNDATED (AP) - Wind gusts of up to 45 mph are expected to whip up blizzard-like conditions in west central and south central Minnesota.

The National Weather Service posted a blizzard warning for areas along and west of a line from Glenwood to Hutchinson, Owatonna and Albert Lea Tuesday. The strong wind will cause considerable blowing and drifting of about 3 - 5 inches of snow. Forecasters say visibility will be reduced to less than a quarter mile in open areas.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for the rest of central and eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
