Blinking Yellow Arrow Added to Stearns County Intersection

ST. CLOUD -- A new traffic light feature has been installed at the intersection of Pinecone Road and Stearns County Road 120.

Acting Stearns County Engineer Jodi Teich says they've installed a blinking yellow arrow for left turns. It allows for motorists to make a left after yielding to oncoming traffic.  She says traffic studies show motorists proceed with more caution than they do if they are at a green light.

Teich says the old traffic signal was a left turn on green arrow only. She says they have received numerous complaints about that intersection because motorists have to wait for a green arrow.

Teich says this will allow traffic to move more efficiently through the area.
