ST. PAUL - Alyssa Lommel is set to return to St. Cloud on Monday for the next step of her recovery.

Lommel's mother, Teri Lommel, posted on her CaringBridge website that Alyssa is scheduled to leave Regions Hospital by noon on Monday. Lommel will be transferred to the St. Cloud Hospital to continue her recovery.

The 19-year-old St. Cloud native suffered severe frostbite and hypothermia in early December after being dropped off at her home in Duluth following a night of drinking, and she fell asleep on the front porch.

Lommel was found roughly nine hours later, still outside after enduring sub-zero temperatures overnight.

Doctors at Regions Hospital in St. Paul recently performed surgeries on Lommel to remove parts of her feet and hands that were damaged from severe frostbite.
