ELY, Minn. (AP) - Rescuers have found two Ohio women who became lost while hiking in northeastern Minnesota.

The St. Louis County sheriff's office says the hikers were reported lost just before 10 p.m. Monday near the Angleworm Lake Trail off of the Echo Trail near Ely.

The women, ages 22 and 25, had called and sent text messages to a friend requesting help because they were lost.

The St. Louis County Volunteer Rescue Squad responded and found the hikers just after 1 a.m. Tuesday. They were not hurt.
