ST. CLOUD (AP) -- Almost 150 U.S. Army Reserve soldiers are scheduled to arrive in St. Cloud on Sunday after a yearlong deployment in Iraq and Kuwait.

The Army says a welcome home event will be held at the St. Cloud Armory on Sunday afternoon.

The returning soldiers are in the 367th Engineer Battalion. Its mission was constructing buildings, surveying and providing other support services, such as transportation.

While the battalion was in Kuwait one of its units — the 492nd Engineer Company — was shifted to Afghanistan, making it only the second time a U.S. Army Reserve unit was deployed from one theater of war to another in a single tour.

About 150 soldiers from 492nd are scheduled to return to Mankato on Monday.
