ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - St. Paul police say an 11-year-old boy was left alone on a school bus after he fell asleep and had to pry open the doors to get out.

A police report was filed last week about the incident, which happened after school on March 21.

A police spokesman says the bus left Humboldt Secondary School and the student fell asleep onboard.

St. Paul Public Schools spokeswoman Toya Stewart Downey says the boy was alone on the bus for 10 to 15 minutes. He woke up in the bus company parking lot and walked to an auto parts store across the street to call his mother to pick up him.

Stewart Downey tells reporters the bus driver will no longer drive routes for St. Paul Public Schools.
