Walmart Plans New Store At Former Sam’s Club Site

ST. CLOUD - Walmart is planning to open a new store in it's old Sam's Club building in St. Cloud.

The move has been rumored ever since the new Sam's Club and Walmart stores opened in Sartell in September of last year.

Walmart officials have not returned phone calls to us, but they have filed a building permit application with the city.  On Tuesday the Planning Commission will consider a request for a permanent utility roadway easement at that location.

Meanwhile, the old Walmart building remains vacant.
