Council Clears Way for Walmart to Return to St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD - Walmart's plan to bring a store back into the St. Cloud city limits got the green light from the city council.

At Monday's meeting they approved a request by Walmart to vacate a roadway and utility easement between the old Sam's Club parking lot and Division Street.

The company plans to turn the former Sam's Club into a Walmart.

The building has sat empty since the new Walmart and Sam's Club store opened in Sartell a little over a year ago.
