Viking defensive end Ray Edwards is taking advantage of time off with the NFL lockout going on and will start a boxing career.  He is set to make his professional boxing debut May 20 at Grand Casino Hinckley against a yet-to-be-determined opponent.  He is guaranteed $5,000 from the fight plus 50 percent of the gate proceeds for the fight.  He signed a two-fight contract.  Edwards is set to become a free agent when a new collective bargaining agreement is reached between the players on owners.  The Vikings arn't expected to pursue him.
