SHAKOPEE, Minn. (AP) - Rising floodwaters have forced Valleyfair amusement park in Shakopee to close three rides.

Valleyfair spokeswoman Robin Stinnett says the park has shut down the Renegade, Excalibur and Thunder Canyon thrill rides.

Stinnett says Valleyfair also has had to reduce the number of parking spaces due to flooding.

The main parking lot is affected, so Valleyfair is waiving the $12 parking fee.

Stinnett emphasizes that Valleyfair and its water park are open and have been open all week.

The Twin Cities and communities across Minnesota are battling floodwaters during this soggy June.
