LITTLE FALLS -- Two people are jailed for operating a mobile meth lab in Little Falls.

The incident happened at about 9:30 p.m. Friday. Little Falls police responded to a shoplifting complaint at 15091 18th Street Northeast.

When police arrived they were able to identify the suspects as 53-year-old Troy Oberton and 35-year-old Donna Alger, both of Little Falls.

While talking with Oberton, officers noticed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle uncovered hazardous liquid chemicals similar to those used to make methamphetamine.

The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force was called in to assist. Commander Steve Soyka says they found an active meth lab cooking in a bottle inside the vehicle.

The meth lab was removed and cleaned up by the Drug Enforcement Agency out of Minneapolis.

Oberton and Alger were arrested and taken to the Morrison County Jail. They await formal charges of 1st degree controlled substance crimes relating to the making of meth.
