KANSAS CITY - The Minnesota Twins beat the Kansas City Royals 8-5 Friday night.

With the Twins win and a Los Angeles Angels loss Minnesota extended it's wild card lead to two game.

Eddie Rosario opened the scoring in the 1st inning with a sacrifice fly that drove in Brian Dozier.

That was just the beginning of a big inning at the plate for Rosario. He also hit his 21st home run of the season in the 3rd inning. The following inning he hit 2-run single that, at the time, gave Minnesota a 5-1 lead.

Minnesota Starter Ervin Santana picked up his 15th win on the season. He lasted five innings, giving up four runs on five hits.
