Takin' It To The Streets "Takes It To The Streets" For A Third Year

ST. CLOUD - The 3rd outdoor music festival known as Takin' It To The Streets will be will be taking the stage on Saturday. Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. with the music starting around 6:00 p.m. Pioneer Place's Dan Barth says this year it was go big or go home when it came to the concert line-up with over forty musicians set to be performing.

Opening the music filled night will be the Born To Run: The Music of Bruce Springsteen show starting at 6:00 p.m. The show is fronted by Mick Strerling and also features Justin Ploof, Jason Ploof, Jeff Lee, Andy Ferkinoff, and David Eiland.

The Ides of March will be taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. The show will be featuring Jim Peterik who was also a member of Survivor. You hear classic songs like Vehicle, Eye of the Tiger, High on You, and The Search is Over along with other Peterik songs such as Hold On Loosely, Fantasy Girl, Rockin' Into The Night, and many more.

Finally, the Fabulous Armadillos are celebrating their 10th Anniversary this year. For this concert they have invited back many of their special guests through out the years. Joining the Armadillos on stage will be Randall Hall from Lynyrd Skynyrd and Kevin Chalfant from The Storm and Journey. There are six more special guests, but Barth says those are a secret. The Fabulous Armadillos hit the stage at 9:30 p.m.

There is also a special rooftop performance at 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. This year it will be featuring a reunion show by The Receders. They will be playing of variety of familiar songs that you are sure to dance to.

A total of six food vendors will be on site including Nick's Third Floor, House of Pizza, Pacific Wok, and Greek Cravings. Barth says there will also be a dessert vendor there this year. A beer garden featuring Third Street Brewhouse, a wine tent, and a mojito tent will also be available to concert goers along 5th Ave.
