Surgeons Host 2nd Annual Bra Day Event To Raise Awareness [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD -- Midsota Plastic Surgeons held their second annual BRA Day U.S.A event today to raise awareness about breast reconstruction. It's an event that started in Canada and spread to the U.S.

Artists decorated bras throughout the year which were put on display at the event for you to vote on.

Each bra had a personal story behind it. Ruth Petermeier is the medical photographer for Midsota Plastic Surgeons.

She says when women are diagnosed with breast cancer they are sometimes unaware of their options.

Representatives from Midsota Plastic Surgeons also gave presentations on the different reconstruction options for breast cancer patients.

The bras will be heading to the American Cancer Society's Walk at St. Cloud State University on Saturday.

The walk starts at 9:00 a.m. You can see this year's decorated bra winners as well as last years submissions at the event.
