ST. CLOUD -- The 2010 census will force the state, cities and counties to re-draw district and precinct lines this year.

Stearns County Administrator George Rindelaub says counties are the last in line when it comes to re-mapping political boundaries. He says congressional districts and legislative districts will come first, followed by cities and townships, then counties are last.

Rindelaub says it's very possible some of the re-districting could end up going through the courts and that would delay the process. He says if that happens they would likely be scrambling to get their work done before next May's deadline.

Rindelaub says there will be some geography changes primarily in Districts 2, 3 and 4 but he says they haven't started working on the maps yet.
