St. John’s Can’t Get the Job Done Fall to St. Olaf 61-72
COLLEGEVILLE -- St. John's struggled from the free throw line this afternoon (Saturday) resulting in their 61-72 loss against St. Olaf.
The Johnnies couldn't find this afternoon going 4-15 from downtown. The couldn't buy a bucket from the charity strip only shoot 64 percent.
St. Olaf went 24-27 from the free throw line to help secure the victory.
Blake Maslonkowski led the way for the Johnnies with a double-double (14 points, 10 rebounds) and going 5-5 from the field.
St. Olaf has three players in double figures with Sterling Nielsen leading all scorers with 23 points.
The loss puts St. John's at an 11-10 overall record and 9-7 MIAC.
St. John's University will hit the road taking on Macalester College at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
