ST. CLOUD -- The city of St. Cloud will conduct a river drawdown of the Mississippi River for a few days this week.

Starting Monday through Wednesday, the river level will be reduced by about two-and-a-half feet in the pool upstream from the city's hydroelectric plant.

The work is needed for general maintenance work at the hydroelectric facility and after the drawdown ends Wednesday, the river levels should be back at normal levels by Friday.
