ST. CLOUD -- A national website that ranks the most livable cities in the world has named St. Cloud number five on the list of most livable winter cities.

Livability.com looked at 500 cities with an average temperature of 32-degrees or lower.

According to the website, "editors then looked at cities that adapt well to wintry weather, embrace the cold and even view it as a valuable commodity."

"St. Cloud was chosen because it also ranks high for other livability factors, such as ample outdoor recreational opportunities, arts and cultural offerings, affordable housing and unemployment rates lower than the national average."

Anchorage, Alaska was number one, followed by Fargo, North Dakota, Bozeman, Montana, Logan, Utah and then St. Cloud.
