ST. CLOUD -- A St. Cloud man was arrested for allegedly starting a fire in his apartment.

St. Cloud Police and the Fire Department responded to the fire at the 1200 block of 15th Street North in St. Cloud at about 8:45 p.m last night (Tuesday).

Police say 59-year-old William Hoglund, of St. Cloud, intentionally started his sock on fire in the hallway outside of an apartment, due to an argument with another tenant over the use of the dryer.

No one was injured.

The fire caused minor damage to the carpet in the hallway.

Hoglund was arrested and taken to the Stearns County Jail and is facing arson charges.
