ST. CLOUD -- Downtown will be the site for the St. Cloud Craft Beer tour tomorrow (Saturday), which has become an essential annual destination for brew enthusiasts.

About 60 breweries from around the state will be featured at the River's Edge Convention Center and offer over 190 different kinds of beers to sample.

The craft beer tour's event coordinator, Christian Medford, has been involved with the event for three years.  The self-proclaimed "beer geek" says the tour is a must-see for every other beer geek in the area.

Near the end of the tour, a people's choice award will be presented to the beer voted "most popular" by the people in attendance.

Medford says the craft beer tour offers something for everybody's tastes and he has seen the event explode in popularity in the past couple of years.

The beer tour promotes new or under-appreciated brews, but Medford says the event also helps to bolster the downtown environment in St. Cloud.

Doors open for the general public at 2:00 p.m. and tickets are still available, but in limited supply.  To guarantee your spot at the event, pick up tickets at West Side Liquor in St. Cloud  and Waite Park.
