ST. CLOUD - A vacant home in south St. Cloud has been declared a "hazardous property" by the city council. The house at 113 14th Avenue South has not had any occupants since early last year.

City planner Matt Glaesman says they've issued a number of notices of violations at the property dating back to 2012, including issues with the roof, windows, doors, and foundation. Despite the notices, the property owner hasn't made any improvements.

Council member Dave Masters says it's time to take action.

Now, if the property owner doesn't complete the list of improvements, or demolish the home, the city will seek to tear the building down. However, the entire legal process could take at least until September.
