St. Cloud Approves Water Rate Increase

ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud residents will be paying more for water next year.

The City Council has approved 3-percent increase for 2012.

Public Services Director Pat Shea says the average resident will only see a small increase in their bill.  He says it will amount to an average of about 72-cents per month.

Shea says they elected to make small rate increases leading up to a 2016 expansion project rather than a one-time double-digit increase.

You won't notice the rate change until you receive your March bill.
