St. Ben's Assistant Basketball coach Denny Johnson is retiring after 30 years as Mike Durbin's top Assistant.  Johnson came to CSB prior to the 1985-86 season at the same time Durbin was hired to be the program’s head coach, and the two have coached alongside each other ever since.

St. Ben's head coach Mike Durbin says “(Denny leaving) leaves a void both since his fingerprints are all over the basketball program. He’s had an incredible, impactful legacy that he’s leaving behind.” “Head and assistant coaches rarely get to stay together for 30 years, and we’ve accomplished a lot together.”  Mike Durbin enters his 31st year as head coach.

In addition to coaching basketball for 30 years, Johnson was the head softball coach for the Blazers for 26 years and was an assistant softball coach for 3 years.
