ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud State is hosting Somali Night Saturday to celebrate cultural diversity.

Somali Student Association President, Mohamed Warsame, says

"Our Message is to help educate our audience about the different sectors of Somali culture and inspire the youth."

The event begins at 5:00 p.m. with a traditional Somalian meal and a show to follow, starting at 6:30 p.m.

State Representative Ilhan Omar will be the featured speaker. Omar is the first elected Somali-American legislator in the United States.

The theme of the event is unity in the community.

Tickets are $10.00 at the door.
