SCSU Reviewing Campus Smoking Policy [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud State University is taking input on the campus smoking policy.  A task force was formed last fall to study the issue.

Spokeswoman Mary Bongers says the current policy is not very well known, and it's also not very well enforced.

Bongers says the current policy bans smoking in all buildings and all University vehicles.  However, smoking is allowed outside on campus grounds.

SCSU staff and and students can give their feedback at two events.  Tonight (Tuesday) at 9:30 p.m. at Garvey Commons, and tomorrow (Wednesday) at 11:30 a.m. at the Atwood Theatre Lounge.

The Smoking Policy Review Task Force will be making their initial recommendation to President Potter on February 14th.  And he's expected to make his final decision on March 14th.
