Sauk Rapids To Pick New City Hall Site Tonight

SAUK  RAPIDS -- Tonight (Monday) could be the night the Sauk Rapids City Council picks the location for the new City Hall.

There are three finalists: a 3.27 acre property on County Road 3 called the Hoppe Property, a property just under 2 acres along Benton Drive between 7th and 8th Streets North, and a 2.2 acre property on South Benton Drive called the Rice property.

The city has already sold their current building to Semper Development, which will build a new Walgreen's store.

City staff have to be out of the current City Hall by February 1st.

The new City Hall should be open about a year from now.
