SAUK RAPIDS -- A dynasty resides in the Sauk Rapids-Rice school district.

The Sauk Rapids-Rice Culinary Management team has won their tenth straight state title. After winning the state competition Thursday, they'll head to the national competition April 22nd through April 29th.

Coach Mary Levinski says, the management team gets grilled on just about everything from the judges at the competition.

"Developing a concept, developing marketing tools, developing a menu, creating the menu, where they have to make the food and take pictures, along with the layout and decor of the restaurant."

Levinksi adds the judges are some important people in the business.

"Chefs, people in business who own restaurants, and promoters are all there to judge."

The students on the team are:

  • Maddie Adamski
  • Sawyer Amo
  • Emma Ditlevson
  • Daighton Ripp

While Sauk Rapids-Rice has yet to win on the national stage, they placed 2nd in 2013, and 5th last year.
