SARTELL -- Plenty of festivities celebrating the sunny season will be going on this weekend as Sartell Summerfest kicks off Friday.

Summerfest hits the ground running Friday with a 5K run for adults and 1K kids run starting at 6:00 p.m. at Sartell Middle School.

Saturday will see a full day of events, beginning with a parade "Down Riverside Avenue" at 10:00 a.m. which features over 70 floats and eight marching bands.

After the parade, you can head over to Sartell Middle School for Libertyville -- food, music and free family entertainment from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

A free street dance at Partner's Pub then kicks off at 5:00 p.m. with a beer garden and food court and performances by Whisky Tango and DiamondBack.

A fireworks display behind Great River Bowl and Partner's Pub will start at 10:00 p.m. as a perfect ending to a day full of summertime fun.

The events don't end there. On Sunday, Blackberry Ridge Golf Club will offer 18 holes and a cart for $19.07 in honor of the year the city of Sartell was founded.
