Sartell To Consider Three Month Extension on Mill Site Moratorium

SARTELL -- The one-year moratorium on the former Sartell paper mill site is almost up, and staff is recommending an extension.

The Task Force, which was created to plan for potential future uses for the property, is asking the city council to grant a three month extension.

The Task Force is in the process of finalizing their findings and reviewing regulatory ordinances for the property and need more time to finish their review.

Before an extension can be granted a public hearing needs to be held.

The council will consider the three-month extension following the public hearing at their May 8th meeting.
