ROCHESTER (AP) - Rochester public school administrators are giving parents plenty of notice that classes will be canceled on Monday when the high temperature is forecast to be 15 below zero.

Superintendent Michael Munoz says school officials didn't want anyone to miss the message, so they provided an unprecedented three-day notice. Munoz says it should give parents enough time to make other arrangements and keep their children safe.

Rochester Catholic Schools are also closed Monday.
