ST. CLOUD -- The registration deadline to participate in the 2015 Minnesota Senior Games ends Friday (May 15th).

St. Cloud will host the three day event later this month and will be the host site for next years games.

Games Chair Kelly Sayre says they plan to use multiple sites within the city to help accommodate for the different events.

"The Whitney Recreation Center, Whitney Senior Center is going to be the main hub of activity. Then we will use other facilities for the more sports specific locations, like going to the tennis bubble at Fitness Evolution, Mike's Archery for the archery events," says Sayre.

The games are designed for individuals or teams ages 50 and older to compete in a variety of events.

Events include golf, volleyball, bowling, pickle ball, track and field, race walk, cycling, basketball, tennis, swimming and more.

RVSP Director Lisa Braun says they couldn't put on an event this size without the help of volunteers and there is still opportunities to help.

"We have just a host of opportunities from swimming, cycling, track and field really needs a lot of volunteers because there is so many different events that it really takes a lot of people to pull this together," says Braun.

The games will take place May 28th through May 31st.
