It's the Minnesota Senior Games in St. Cloud and we caught up with a couple participants at the shuffleboard court. We met with two players, one has been playing since the '70s, and asked them about playing in the senior games.
Senior athletes from all over Minnesota are coming to St. Cloud this weekend. Minnesota Senior Games Coordinator Kelly Sayre says over 400 athletes will be competing in 28 different events over four days from Thursday through Sunday.
The registration deadline to participate in the 2015 Minnesota Senior Games ends Friday (May 15th). St. Cloud will host the three day event later this month and will be the host site for next years games.
St. Cloud has been chosen as the site for the 2015 and 2016 Minnesota Senior Games. The games are designed for individuals or teams ages 50 and older to compete in a variety of events.
