One Year Since Massive Earthquake In Haiti; Local Teacher and Volunteer Shares Insights

A massive earthquake took the lives of over 230,000 people in Haiti one year ago today. St John's Prep and St John's University Instructor Matt Reichert has been involved with volunteer efforts to restore Haiti over the last year, and he says the quake devastated an already struggling country.

Reichert and his wife Theresa have made trips to Haiti, and even took an earthquake survivor into their home for 5 months last year. He says that they plan to  stay connected to relief work in Haiti for years to come.
