Olivia Toddler Dies; Suspect Held

A 19-month-old girl has died, two days after suffering serious injuries at a home in the western Minnesota town of Olivia.

The toddler had been airlifted to Children's Hospital in St. Paul from the Renville County Hospital.

The Renville County sheriff's office got a 911 call Wednesday that the girl was unresponsive.

A suspect was arrested and taken to Renville County Jail. Charges have not been filed.

Olivia police continue to investigate, with help from the Renville County sheriff's office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
